Mega Fishing Corporation plays an instrumental role in manufacturing canned sardines of superior quality. Operating a fleet of more than 88 commercial fishing vessels with over 800 fishermen, the company is committed to its trademark 12-hour catching-to-canning process. This means that it only takes 12 hours from the time the fishes are caught up to the time that they are canned to ensure freshness of the fish in each can of sardines. The company catches fish with state-of the-art sonar fish finders and fish pump technology that guarantees no human contact, thus decreasing the risk of contamination. The fish is kept fresh in insulated bins and preserved using zero-degree chilled sea water, minimizing histamine development.
Ayala Seafoods Corporation (ASC)
The canning arm of Mega Global Corporation
Ayala Seafoods Corporation produces over 2 million cans of sardines every day. The plant’s systems are fully automated to support consistency in quality and flavor, and to comply with strict safety standards. Our canning plants has been awarded with some of the most internationally-recognized certifications such as FSSC: 22000, HACCP, EU and HALAL. These standards allow Mega Global to export products all over the world.
